Laneway Activation — Warner Lane, Fortitude Valley

Our concept for Warner Lane, Fortitude Valley creates a vibrant contemporary laneway activation that celebrates Brisbane’s unique architectural character. As a Brisbane-based building design studio, Formarda has developed a concept that introduces a bold modern layer against the surrounding heritage buildings.

The proposal combines integrated architectural lighting, geometric installations and contemporary façade elements to create an engaging pedestrian environment that transforms throughout the day and comes alive at night.

The design deliberately contrasts the texture and character of the existing heritage architecture with a more dynamic, modern Brisbane laneway aesthetic, creating a distinctive destination within Fortitude Valley while respecting the historic urban fabric.
