Hono Villa is a contemporary tropical villa designed by Formardå in Kuta, Lombok, Indonesia. The project explores a relaxed architectural language that combines modern forms with the natural character of the island, creating a strong connection between the interior spaces and surrounding landscape.

The design focuses on indoor-outdoor living, considered proportions and resort-style spaces, creating a private retreat suited to the tropical climate and lifestyle of Lombok. Hono Villa forms part of Formardå's growing portfolio of international residential and villa design projects.

The Brief

The client sought a complete, end-to-end delivery of a holiday villa on the island of Lombok, requiring a partner able to manage every stage of the project remotely, from securing the site through to handover of the finished home.

The Approach

Formardå's role on this project spanned the full development process: identifying and purchasing the land, preparing and submitting design plans, obtaining the necessary building permits, arranging materials, and project managing construction through to completion. Executing a project of this scope in Lombok required close coordination with local authorities, suppliers, and builders, translating the original design intent into a finished holiday home while managing logistics across an international site.

The completed villa stands as one of Formardå's international projects, demonstrating the studio's capability to manage a project from bare land through to a finished, liveable home , a genuinely full-service delivery model that goes beyond typical design and drafting services.
